Step 1: Read

Topic: Forgiveness

Read Matthew 6:14-15 (NIV):
"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

Consider why Jesus emphasizes forgiveness. How does withholding forgiveness affect your relationship with God and others?

Reflect on a specific hurt you are holding onto. Write it down in your journal or notes.

When you’re ready, swipe to Step 2 and pray through these confessions.

Step 2: Pray & Confess

Topic: Forgiveness

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of forgiveness through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I confess the times I have held onto bitterness and resentment, refusing to extend grace when it was needed.

Lord, forgive me for harboring unforgiveness in my heart. I repent of those attitudes that have built walls between me and others, and between me and You.

Right now, I choose to release [Name or Situation] from the debt they owe me. I surrender my right to hold this against them, and I trust You to heal my heart.

Fill me with Your love and compassion so that I may forgive as I have been forgiven. Remove any lingering hurt or anger, and replace it with peace.

Swipe to Step 3 when you are ready to take the next step, Response.

Step 3: Response

Now that you have prayed and released forgiveness, pause to listen for God’s comforting presence. He offers healing and renewal to your wounded heart.

Action Steps:
• Reach out with a kind word or gesture to the person you are forgiving.
• Pray a blessing over them, asking God to work in their life.
• Let go of any expectation for apology or restitution.

Commitment:
Write a brief statement of how you will practice forgiveness this week and any steps you will take to reconcile.

Thank God for His mercy and continue to trust His transforming work in your life.
